Substitute for co2 in 10 gallon

I'm setting up a low tech planted tank I suppose you could say. I'm using a planted substrate so far. There is nothing in the tank not even water but I'd like to find a few very good fertilizers that actually will show similar growth to if I use co2. it's fine if it's a powder or liquid doesn't matter to me thank you

You can't use ferts to replace CO2, but you can still grow lots of plants. I have grown thousands of plants in plain gravel with no ferts or added CO2.

There's no real substitute for CO2, but, if you're growing low to medium light plants, then Flourish Excel is a good source of carbon.

What plants do you have in mind?

Alternanthera reineckii, Bacopa caroliniana, Staurogyne repens, and Anubias nana

You can also use Glut. Or buy Metricide 14 and throw away activator.

Much cheaper than Excel.
