Suitable plants

I recently got a second hand 41.1g tank that came with a t8 lighting unit and a crappy bulb. So I replaced the bulb today with one as high as I could get a 30watt 6500k one. I was wondering what plants will thrive well enough in the tank. I currently only have low light plants in my current setups. Will I be able to get any medium light plants or something other than the low lights? Any red plants ? Oh also I use API root tabs and dose with seachem flourish comprehensive weekly.

Your pretty much going to have to stick with low light plants IMO. You could try a red tiger lotus. They actually will grow, albeit very slow, but will actually give you some red color. You will need to add some iron root tabs around it to aid in the red coloring.

Try some Crypts, lots of interesting shapes and some have color. +1 on the Tiger Lotus Lily.
