So at my local lake I found some massive swords 2foot plus so I brought them home and put them in an outside 55 gallon fitted tank. They have sent out many new leaves and most have sent out 2.5 foot stocks with many white flowers in them.
I don't have a picture right now I can post one tomorrow, but anyways I just wanted to know the purpose of the flowers. Do they make seeds? If not then do they make new plants at the base? Any real answers are appreciated and if you have any questions about what I'm asking please ask. Thanks.

I think (not sure) that if they break the surface they send a flower up to spread seeds. If you have two there is even a way to manually cross pollinate them, but I heard its not very effective.

I have plenty of them hopefully they do pollinate. They are all sending up flowers I don't know why.
