Dear loach dude,
Do you mean a tall plant or a floating plant. If floating anacharis, moneywort are good floaters. If tall, there are some tall anubias --16-18 inches that fit the bill.

I like Amazon Frogbit for floaters.
You need at least 2" of substrate. And should add root tabs near Crypts or other tall plants.
Floating plants like liquid ferts 1x weekly.
Check your light. The right light will help.
