Water wisteria was my first first live plant and it never died on me. I do not dose any ferts or co2 and I don use an iron rich substrate of any kind. Just moderate lighting and that's it. It doesn't require anything else. I highly recommend it as a beginner plantImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1389967409.313203.jpg
In the picture, those are actually 2 that I trimmed and don't have roots but after a week they got roots and I wasn't using root tabs or anything. Light is all you need for this plant and it will still look beautiful. I hope this helps anyone that's beginning a planted tank.
