How long can I leave wisteria floating. I will be starting 2 new tanks in about a month for my kids. My tank is loaded with wisteria that I have been cutting regularly. I have just been floating it because I am going to transfer it to the new tanks. I know they are heavy root feeders so I was wondering how long I can just float them?

Floating it will be fine, I have some floating in my 29gal for a betta, they love to sleep in it.

If you like, you can carefully pull a few leaves off water wisteria and let them float. They will grow roots and eventually make brand new plants entirely. If you do, peel the leaf off with care, you need the bit that's attached to the stem to generate roots.
