Hello everyone I'm a new aquarist and I've been trying to study on keeping a new aquarium. So I've put some new plants in my aquarium but one of the plants has weird markings and strange vines looking things on it. I came here hope i could learn if these things are harmful or not for fish, i dont have any in my tank right now but I want to make sure that it will be a good healthy environment for them.

Here are some pictures of it 1491681056544.jpg1491681066284.jpg

Those do seem odd. The brown ones look like it is roots that had grown onto the leaves. As long as they aren't crawling around. ;)

I don't know about the white one, could be a remnant of a root section which when removed left some fungus film. Would it wipe off easily? Might make a tiny cloud of white and shouldn't be an issue.

So ya first picture you can see planlets off the new roots.

Couple methods
1. Wait till bigger cut and attach it to wood or rock via string, glue ect
2. Lay leaf down let it attach
3. Let nature do it..often breaks off at some point
