I am wanting a "slight" blue but not so dang blue that my red fish and plants look washed out. 6500K I know is "whiter" than I am looking for. Would 10000K be optimal or too blue? 8000K? I can't find decent pictures showing what each looks like, and anything over 6000K looks royal blue on camera. Where can I find a decent look besides just getting bulbs and trying them?

If you want to spend the money?? Call bml and tell them exactly what you want.. They'll build your dream!

Are you just trying to light or accent the color of your fish?

What color your lighting options will be are dictated by the type of lighting you go for (T8, T5, PC's, LED...)...

I am trying to accent the colors of my fish and plants, and will be using a M85 metal halide in the
fixture of my dreams I create. ;) problem is cameras don't see that the way we do.
