What is considered low light, med light, and high light for LED and low tech tank?

Is low LED light considered as 1w per gallon?
Need sone help with how this is measured and worked out.
Thanks.

LEDs in planted applications are typically measured using PAR or Photosynthetically Active Radiation. Quoting a discussion of the topic on another forum, in regards to light level and PAR:
Low = 10 - 30
Medium = 30 - 80
High = 80 and up
Some LED light fixture manufacturers publish their PAR readings which make things convenient. Others do not. There are PAR meters that can be used to measure the PAR output.

Radiation is everywhere. Take a walk on a sunny day. However, not all forms are harmful.
I've seen that fixture mentioned on this forum and on TPT (ThePlantedTank). I cannot recall if seeing any PAR readings. You may have to Google deep for this one. Hopefully someone will chime in.

You will almost never see actual par ratings with fixtures sadly.

With that fixture having 0.5w leds I would throw a guess that it's low light on a 55g. At the very most it would be at the low end of medium.
