When I was new to the hobby, I went to many different sites, pretty much just stay here now.

Edit, my bad!

In no particular order, I like Tropica, the Krib, Chuck's Planted Aquaria Pages, plantedtank.net, Takashi Amano's Nature Aquarium World, aquabotanic.com .

I'll also plug tropicalresources.net, where most knowledgeable plant gurus can be found, as here at AA, and since I learned a lot from Off-Ice at Fishgeeks I like his site, plantgeeks.net.

There are probably more in my bookmark list!

ditto, minus the krib. i love the wet thumb community, i've learned so much from them as well as here. the plant profile database and the gallery on wet thumb are second to none. the only problem i have is that many of the pictures in the plant database are missing..kind of a bummer. i have plantedtank.net bookmarked, though i don't visit too much. i wish their plant profiles section had more plants to choose from, but i'm sure search the forum will yield plenty of info on a specific plant.

i also like the nature aquarium homepage (http://www.vectrapoint.com/main/infocentral.html)

aquaticquotient.com is another site i like...mostly foreign folks and hard to read english, but still a very good resource for info and ideas.

aquaticplantcentral.com

aquahobby's plant section is really nice. i like to hear real-world experiences with the plants, not just what somebody trying to sell them has to say. http://www.aquahobby.com/e_garden.php

and of course, rex's faq!

Well, I have to admit, I am partial, but I think the best place on the net to ask about and share information on planted aquariums has to be Planted Tank : http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/. With over 3000 members, it has to be one of the largest and friendliest forums on planted aquariums on the net.

Aquabotanic's shop and forum: http://aquabotanicwetthumb.infopop.cc/6/ubb.x?a=cfrm&s=4006090712 is another huge resource for the planted aquarium enthusiast.

Aquatic Plant Central: http://www.aquaticplantcentral.com/forum/index.php is one of the newer specialized sites on the net.

Throw in Amano's homepage, Aquatic Quotient and the Krib, and you have a real good set of "Planted Aquarium Bookmarks".

I find it rather interesting that two people said "minus the krib". It is one of the oldest and people used to boo you if you said anything negative about it! One of the reasons I started aquabotanic in 1999 was to provide an alternative to the KRIB, which I found very cumbersome, outdated, and boring! Nothing but archived usernet postings, but it is still a huge wealth of information if you can sift thru it. Chuck's WEB site is great.

I like this site (finaly decided to join) and I like pantedtank.net
I have found reading posts at both forums very helpful.

Most of my questions were answered just by reading other posts
