1498590118509.jpgAny idea what the web like stuff is on the plants? Only noticed it this evening whilst doing a water change.
The tank is new, bout 4 days set up. No fish and this was the first change done to it. The plants have been planted for 2 days.
Also, when i did the change there was a cotton like substance floating in the water.

It's the start of hair algae or staghorn [emoji106] make sure your lighting isn't too intense and photoperiod is no more than 6-8 hours while the plants get a chance to take off. Frequent water changes and dosages of excel and regular ferts will keep it away

Cool. Cheers. Less light it is, was keeping it on for 12 hours whilst the plants take. Excel?

Seachem excel - it's a liquid carbon product with glut in it to prevent algae. Works really well
