Missing fish

Firsty just want to say hello to everyone as I am a new member,

My son has platy fish but something strange is going on. We had five fish but 3 disappeared, have looked everywhere for them no bodies. I then replace the 3 that went missing and the same thing has happened again, we are back down to 2 fish.

Any where they go.

How big is your tank? Does it have a lid? What is the hiding spot situation like? Are they in the filter?

Feel your pain. Here's my suggestions;

1. Check. The. Filter. I found my dead goldfish there...

2. If your tank is empty of any fish, remove decorations, if your sure there isn't anything in there.

3. If there IS other fish, are they the type to eat them?

4. Does the aquarium have a lid? If not, check the area around your tank. They may have lept out.

5. Honestly, if you still can't find them, ask your kids if they messed with it.

6. Do you have a cat?

Perhaps you should watvh the remaining two. See where they go, and how they act.
