sand or gravel

i have gravel in my tank with 6 bloodfin tetra and a bala shark. i want to change to sand. which one should i change to and would my fish like it?

It's all up to you. I prefer sand. Looks nicer and easier to clean. Get pool filter sand and not play sand. Play sand is a smaller grain + more cloudy+ easier to get caught in the filters.

That is not necessary true. My filter pump sits on the sand.
