ADF's alone in a ten gallon QT?
Could I keep a pair of African Dwarf Frogs in a ten gallon QT tank? They'd be living with various different fish for the first year or so, but then they'd be alone for the rest of the time. I need something to keep the tank cycled, and they look cool. Is this a good idea? Could it work? I know they could die if disease, but i like some movement in my tanks... Even the QT.

You certainly can! I have two adf's in my ram tank. They won't be a bother, really. Just make sure you have a lid on your tank. They sure will keep it cycled. Be prepared to feed them frozen Blood worms, because that's all mine will eat.

Awesome! They're so cute, and my parents won't let me have hardcore amphibians, so these would work perfectly! I think I'll go with two of them. Other then food, do they need anything specific?

Just a heater, and a filter (which I'm sure you already have in your QT tank). They love little terra cotta pots, Not sure why, but if you lay them on their side, they're like a magnet to the little guys. It's great fun to watch. =) Good luck!

I let mine sit over night in water with regular tank dechlorinator. Other than that, they're mostly clay. I got mine from the dollar store, and they were fine, they didn't effect my water parameters at all.

I wouldn't bake them, they'll probably explode.

Ok... Just thought of something else. When a fish in my community tank gets sick, can I just move them to the big tank and move them back when the other fish isn't contagious, or would that stress them too much.

If your water parameters are the same, it should be fine! The temperatures too.

Awesome. Will I need to acclimate them every time they get moved?
