I believe it's the same. The royals love cucumber, don't expect him to eat algae though. I also put in the cooked shrimp, the smaller ones that you put on salads, and mine eats them too.

Yep it's the same type I just bought cucumber for mine, normally nobody in my tank eats it so hear goes.

Don't blanch it, the like the outside peel too so don't take that off either. It may take a couple days for him to figure it out. Make sure you post what happens.

Sorry for the late reply, he loves anything really.. Especially my plants lol, when he cleans the algae from the back wall or chomps on the wood you can hear a grating noise! In a quiet room it can be heard at the other side.
