Black Friday 2018, I bought a Fluval FX6 Canister filter.
I know that it has much more flow rate than my current Rena Filstar XP XL, Canister Filter.
But it looks like it might not hold as much media, I was going to put my Bio Stars and Matrix into the new Fluval FX 6.

Does anyone have any thoughts on changing out my old canister filter.

So you will still be running the HOB's and you are just replacing the canister?

Just run the new canister and filters. You will have enough BB in your HOB's, substrate, decor, plants, ECT... to keep the water stable.
