What is the difference of high range ph and Phosphate. Someone please help.
Ph and phosphate are different things. From what I know in this hobby we measure ph to see if our water is too acidic or basic. Ph measures from 0-14. 7 is neutral. Anything below that is acidic and anything above that is alkaline. Phosphate from what I understand is something that can cause unwanted algae growth. Phosphate (I think) is a waste product from living things in fish tanks. I hope this is what you wanted to know. And if I'm wrong someone please let me know

PH is acid alkalinity levels. 7.0 is neutral. Lower is acid higher is considered alkaline.

Phosphates are a by product of waste but are also a beneficial compound necessary for plant growth.
