So I recently adopted a 20 gallon tank. When I got the tank it was about half full with one obscure fish in it. After getting the tank home and deciding to do maintenance I discovered it was so absolutely filthy that the entire tank needed to be drained and the substrate replaced. Now I have the obscure fish (some sort of gourami) in a significantly cleaner tank. I guess my question is can you help me identify this fish? I'm worried he might be too big for my tank

Honestly, it was probably a bad idea to do a full cleaning like that. There's a lot of beneficial bacteria that just got removed that was living all over everything.

But yes, we need a picture to tell you what it is.

Ok... So I tried to add a picture last night and clearly that didn't go so well... This is the latest attempt.

Hi don't go full clean. Use grevl clean in every week with max 10% to 30% water change.
