I got fed up with my 55 gallon tank taking forever to get swapped (and then more drama) so I decided I had enough of only having one tank. So, here is my purchase list
-One 10 gallon tank (my gerbils occupy the origional)
-15 pounds of gravel
-a new filter rated up to 20 gallons
set that up, added some plants from my 5 gallon that had just been waiting to get into a tank with better lighting, seeded the tank...
Today I bought some inhabitants:
-3 itty bitty albino cories who had been waiting for a home this past month
-1 really small dwarf gourami - he tried to jump for freedom before going into the bag and so I got him for free since we weren't sure if he'd make it.
Well, this will be my "peaceful" tank (meaning calmer fish as I've not had any aggressive fish) and I hope to get some of those big apple snails and perhaps some shrimp later on. It has lots of hiding spots, will be adding more plants soon too.
One cool thing is I've never seen fish take so well to a tank before. All of them are looking for food and very active so I am excited.
