innovators got the inside scoop he is indeed a red bellied piranha, hes in his bigger tank now 75g ill try to eventually get pics up

Wow, i am now jealous. I have always wanted a school of them but they are illegal in FL. Are you gonna get more? they are scholling fish. All they are is another kind of charcin (tetra).
 
they are not listed at a charcin anymore yes i will be getting 2 more when the LFS's stop being something bags
 
i cant remember where i seen it and google isnt showing anything

they are nothing like a tetra though lol they are alot different
 
found it

The larger piranhas were originally classified as belonging to the Characidae, but various revisions place them in their own related family, the Serrasalmidae
