Mail order fry

I am purchasing fish from someone who will ship, but at what size should is it ok to ship. They are .75 in length. Should they be sending at that length?

I just recently purchased some guppy fry smaller than that. The guy I bought them from said he didn't think they were big enough to ship n they would die lol not a single DOA! Younger fish tend to be hardier to ship, what kind if fry r u talking about?
