My New Bristlenoses

Today I bought three of the most fantastic Bristlenose Pleco. One Golden female, one male & one female Bristlenoses. What brilliant fish & I've never seen anything eat algae like it!! They're beautiful

Thanks. I'm thinking that it might be cool if they do, but I'm going to see if nature takes it's course. At the moment he is more interested in sleeping!

Thank you. That's very interesting what you're saying about sexing. The Albino has much smaller bristles than the regular male, and about the same as the other female. I bought them from a store that specialises in Plecs & they said the Albino was female, but that could be wrong.

Funnily enough the other female really rules the roost! The male keeps sidling up to her & she is having none of it!! Just like humans really

Baha! I saw it's a male because of it's bristles.. I mean I'm not a specialize or anything but to my knowledge only male have bristles on their entire face. While female only have bristle near their lips

They're great for keeping your tank clean & highly entertaining. Would they work in a Goldfish tank or was the temp not compatible?
