my puffy puff

My salt water green spotted puffer. Still just a little one.... Working on a split 40g, 30g for puffer, base rock separation and a 10g coral garden with an anemone and a single baby black clown fish (my niece breeds them and will happily trade me a baby for an adult/ adolescent)

Good idea with the base rock separation. When a puffer see something as tasty as a clown, then they really go after them. Get some pics of the setup when you have time.

Thanks I just repaired my tank, setting up the frame of an under gravel filter perfectly to raise the bedrock so that I can give shrimp and crabs can get over without puffy getting aggressive, although he did eat two red crabs that were tank mates, comes with having a puffer. Any suggestions for good beginner corals. I will definitely post pictures as I work on this project!! Thanks again for the encouragement

If only every other fish keeper treated their puffer this way.

Thanks guys, I try my hardest to do my research and treat my 'ecosystems' with the utmost respect, it's not just a fish you're getting when decide to have an aquarium, it's a whole world that you have to build. I saved him from Walmart where they were selling them, as a lot of folks know, as freshwater and had about 40 fry in one 15 gallon cube... My husband brought 2 home, I did my research, rehomed one and came up with my dream coral garden and reef to shallows ecosystem you can check out my beta collection in the showcase thread.
