New Betta tank!!

Woo-hoo. We got ourselves another betta tank. 5.5gal with 1 male turquoise betta and a Hong Kong pleco. Sure wish I had a digital camera to show all of you (supposed to get one for my birthday) . Just thought I would share this with everyone!

The Hong Kong Pleco only gets to be 3". Technically it is a Butterfly Loach or a Hillstream loach 8O .

The betta must be loving life!
Do your homework on the Hillstream Loach. They evolved in streams with cool water and swift currents. I did not do my homework on them and lost both of them within one day of each other (they were in different tropical tanks ). Webmoose gave me some great links, let's see if I can find them.

I have moved some decor in the tank to make way for a little more current. I have also lowered the temp to about 75(betta should be ok). We saw the "pleco" and thought we have to have it ...guess we should learn to be patient(yeah right). Thanks for the info
