New Juvenile Male Blue Gourami

Here's one of my newest additions. His name is Ramses!

My adult female blue gourami seems to accept him. She chases him to establish her dominance I am assuming. I only saw her nip once..no violence or anything. The thing that strikes me though is how she seems to swim slightly on an angle when they are close (see 3rd picture). However, my all-time favorite is watching them play "tag" with their feelers, lol.

Pretty fish, Lori! Nice to see a 'true' Blue Gourami instead of the 'Cosby' strain that has gotten more common these days.

Hi Lori,
Ramses is very pretty! It's good that the adult female (is that Spot?) is accepting him. Will you breed them eventually?

Yep, that's Spot! (lol. original, I know). I will most likely be moving soon and when I do, I plan on attempting to breed.

Fruitbat...lol, you should have seen Daniel and I in front of the blue gourami/"cosby" tank...the lady was standing behind us, prolly thinking we were gonna be like, I want one of those fish! lol, 10 minutes later, we had picked out Ramses and asked the lady to get him, and only him, lol. She had a hell of a time, and I think I found that more amusing than I should....

They have adapted well and now hang out with each other. Always close to each other. Only during feeding time do I really see them separating for a lonh period of time.
