New Molly

I got a new molly today. It is surfing the top of the tank and breathing in at the top. My other molly does not do this. Is the new molly just adjusting?

So long as your levels are ok it’s likely adjusting to your tank conditions. Other than that is it eating normally?

He ate last night. The behaviour has seemed to have gone away now. The molly I got a few days ago (the first in the tank) is frequently chasing and startling my new molly.. is this normal too and will it stop soon?

Any time I got a new fish in the past - I haven’t recently since I’m restarting the hobby - the fish did tend to chase each other the first day or two until the novelty of a new tank mate wore off. Then they’d settle down and just chill out around the tank
