New Polypterus sp. 'Zaire green'

Here are a couple of pics of my latest bichir 'find'. This is Polypterussp. 'Zaire green', an as-yet undescribed species. These are definitely NOT my best pictures but the fish is shy and won't cooperate for pictures yet.

Actually...right now I don't have a bichir that is over 7 inches long...even though they do all look like monsters!!! There is a large tank in the near future as soon as we have out wood floors finished. Then all the bichirs will go in there. Right now they're all in temporary grow-out tanks and that's what they're doing....growing!!!
