Sorry for the crappy pics but they were freaking out pretty bad so I kept it short and sweet. If you notice in the first pic one of the otos' , well under his gills are red. I don't know what it's called. I would say chin but they don't have a chin lol. The lady at petsmart told me it's because they are immature still but i dont think i believe that... i was so stressed i just wanted to get the **** out of there!

it's the one on the top. two of them are like that actually

Cool fish! The reddish coloration is normal.

Yep mine have rosy cheeks also. It's just that the skin over the gils is really thin. Nothing to worry about.

nice!! you got them! can't wait to see them swimming around with Alejandro :D i hope all goes well with acclimation and QT

Thanks everyone, I am a little nervous about the QTing since they are pretty finicky. I just got them out of the bag and they re still pretty freaked out. I made it darker around the tank and I am going to head out for a while so hopefully they will be settled in when I get back. Ugh I am going to be so nervous ! Lol. I was like that with alejandro too, nervous for like the first two weeks. Glad to hear the red is normal. Hopefully all will go well!

Also, did you notice in the second picture, that one is a dif color? He seems almost greener while the other ones are darker. That is the same one with the red. Is this normal too?
