Question...

I was wondering when should I start vacuuming my gravel? I've had my tank for about a month. Cycled it with fish... Unfortunately. Both ammo and nitrites dropped to zero, then I added 8 seprae tetras and my tank went into a mini cycle :S now my ammo and nitrites are back at zero. I plan on adding 3 cockatoo cichlids and a bristlenose Pleco. Might pick up the Pleco tonight. But I'm wondering if I should be vacuuming the gravel now. Or will it mess with my tank? If so, when should start?

I'm vacuuming mine every week during the PWC. I suppose it depends on how much fish waste and left over food is in the tank.

You can probably vaccum now if you wanted. It keeps the excess food and stuff off the bottom so it doesnt get down into the rocks. We vaccum ours every week during a pwc as well
