20 gal long refigium

Would that be sufficient for a 75 gal? 29 would not give me enough room under the display tank to add decent size rocks or to work on skimmer etc...

We have a 20 under our 75 gallon set up. They say to use the biggest size you can fit in your stand. We could fit a 30 gallon, but they are very hard to find around here. We have had the 20 gallon set up for a few months now with no problem and works great!

20g will be fine. Better than nothing! If it makes it easier to clean, it'll be worth going a bit smaller.
