Im on the phone with my friend right now, and he wants to buy a 60 Gallon Hex, he said its pretty tall, and was wondering if this is suitable for saltwater. My thoughts are that it might be too deep and hard to aquascape, he would be doing at least 60lb live and base rock. TIA

It's not optimal and it will be hard to care for. It will also not have very much surface area for gas exchange. That being said, sure it will work for a sw tank it's just not a very good set up and will be harder to find enough lighting to cover it without using mh.
