Actinic lighting?

Just purchased a T8 marine glo actinic blue marine bulb. I have a 38g tank with 2 clowns a doctor shrimp and a peppermint shrimp. My question is, Is it ok for this to be my only light?.

I have my light on a timer from 8:00am to 8:30pm

In a fish only tank it doesn't really matter.

If we plan on adding soft coral will we need to add another light.? Will it be ok to leave the actinic light on for the full 12 hrs?
