Is it safe to put these 2 fish together in the same tank till I am able to upgrade the tank and give the angler his own?the trigger is about an 2-3 inches and the angler is about 2 inches or so...Suggestions welcome

Hard to say...How long you planning on doing this?
I think a few days maybe ,,but after that, IDK...
The angler is not active ,the trigger is..they eat the same things too..so it may get ugly

I plan on keeping them together until I can get a 90-125 gallon for the trigger and then the angler will go into his own tank or if they do fine I may just keep them together but I will see on the

The tank has a large pile of shells and rock for the Angler to hide out in. So hopefully they will be ok

You will be fine with these 2 fish, make sure to have live rock with lots of caves and crevices for the triggerfish and anglers to hide in.

Sadly the tank crashed and I lost both fish but I am going to get a bigger tank after the holidays and try again
