Blue jaw trigger

I got a blue jaw trigger about 3 weeks ago and he hides every time I walk in the room but I can peek my head in and he is out swimming around and looks very happy. Why does he hide from me?

Does he know you are the hand that feeds him. Try and move slowly when getting in his first view of you. And try not to do fast hand gestures around it.

Just stick it out. Try to have your hands in the tank as much as possible. No fast hand movements as already stated. He will slowly learn to associate you as a harmless alien lol
