Chaeto in a CPR Bak Pak

I'm putting together a 24x24x14 reef tank and bought a CPR Bak Pak skimmer for it. I was wondering if I could put some Chaeto in the return side, where it originally had the blue biological stuff that looks like shredded paper. I figure it is empty, so might as well utilize it for something. I'm just not sure it would get enough light. Any thoughts?

You could probably get away with a small clamp on led light for algae growth and set it on a timer?

I was thinking something along those lines...maybe attach it to the wall right next to that area on the skimmer and have the light on during the day. Eventually there will be an upgrade with a sump/refugium and this will become my QT tank.
