I have a CPR Backpak 2 with biobale. I am goign to make my tank a reef and wonder do I need the biobale anymore? I have about 75lbs of LR and a 3in CC bed and also a Fluval 404. Any suggestions? Thanks again everyone.

I see from your profile you have a 55 gal tank. I would say you could ditch the biobale and the floval filter if you wanted to or just use the fluval as a way of helping to circulate the water. Do you have anything else in the tank moving water around? If not you might want to get a few more PH's and position them to get good all around water movment.

I have 2 Maxijet 1200's cris crossing each other. Ans a rio 800 to circulate surface water along with the fluval. So tomorrow I am going to take down the CPR and remove bio bale and clean unit. Thanks
