Circulation Pumps.

So i have sand in my 55 gallon. And at first i bought an Aqueon circulation pump that was rated at circulation 500 gph. But what i noticed was it was kicking up sand on one side of my tank making a little bald spot in my sand. So i downsized and now am using two smaller circulation pumps. Is this okay? and if not, any suggestions?

It's all a matter of how you position them. I had 2 750gph koralias in my 55 with no sand issues. I'm using 2 425's in my 20g and no problems.

Just gotta play around with it a bit in my opinion. You'll eventually get them aimed correctly.
