i have a 30 and i'm looking to see about what type of light would allow me to keep any kind of coral high or low light. Does anyone know the best light for the best buck or can i possibly put something together myself for cheaper a do it yourself project ???

I have a 30, also, and I'm having GREAT success using a single 96W combo 10,000K/actinic. I'm going to upgrade, though, probaby to T5 2x 96W with lunar lgihts. When Igo big, I'll get MH. It's worth it just for the ripples on the bottom.

My corals (so far) are Xenia, mushrooms, Kenya tree, Montipora digitata and Montipore sp. encrusting type, along with star polyps and lots of zoos.

Oh, I forgot. WIth my lighting as it is, I can't keep SPS and ceratin other corals. Softies and polyps do fine with PC.
