feather sister acclimation

Hey everyone. I'm adding a feather dusted to my tank tomorrow with a few other things. How exactly do I add it to the tank after drip aclimation? Do I physically place it somewhere by hand, or just put it in and let it find its own spot? Thanks!

You can try to put it under some sand... I did, but it didn't stay there that long, lol, like an hour. I ended up burying it kinda under some rock like this...
