Film on top of the water?

Theres a film filled with little bits of stuff on the top of my water, what could this be and how do i get rid of it? It appeared when i started vodka dosing

Do you have a decent amount of surface agitation? That usually keeps film off the top of the water.

I've never done the vodka dosing, so not sure if that is related or coincidence.

Are you running a protein skimmer on this tank? Those films are typically a lack of running a running a protein skimmer and/or a lack of adequate surface agitation.

I have good surface agiation on one side, and i skim using a remora aqua c w a mag drive 3, rated for 150 gallon, i have a 55 gallon (overkill i know)

Also placing a paper towel on it and quickly pull it out has worked for me.
