Greetings.

I don't know what it is, but when I started setting up my 10gal. nano, while handling the live rock, I got stung with hair thin thorns on my fingers, those thorns even go through surgical gloves 8O . What are those thorns?, and are there any good thick gloves that I can buy at Home Depot, etc. to avoid getting stung?

Thank you.

Sounds like you got stung by a bristle worm. I would think that a pair of dishwashing gloves would do the trick, but dont take my advice until others chime in. If they I agree, then go for it.

Agreed, you can use some tape to get the bristles out, I alos agree with the heavy duty dishwashing gloves just make sure they haven't been used for anything else (buy a brand new pair) and make sure they haven't been treated with anything.

Thank you guys.

Since we are talking about worms, what are some silver/white worms that I have seen on my tank's LR? some kind of bristle worm?
