Help...Nitrates 20ppm (mg/L) Gonna Kill My Majestic Angel?

Hey guys, I've noticed a nitrate spike to 20ppm (mg/L). My ammonia and nitrite are both zero. pH and alkalinity good. It is a 120G fish only with only a majestic angel in it. Is that going to be harmful to it? What should I do? TIA

Do a water change. Although Nitrates are not good, they are not as hareful as Ammonia, or Nitrites. Do a Water change, and cut back on the feedings. Also vacuum out any loose waste or leftover food.

Is the fish in immediate life threatening danger? Or any harm for that matter?

IMO No...... I have always been told and read that untill you get around 40 there is no real problem. Nitrates at high levels can kill/stress the fish.
Only 1 fish?? When was the last time you did a water change.... Any skimmer, sump refugium?
I have a fuge, skimmer on my 55 fowlr that is loaded with fish and it keeps it around 5, I do water changes about every 2 months.

Don't panic 20 ppm isn't even close to dangerous levels.
