Live rock question

How long can live rock be taken out of the tank for before it dies? I wanted to remove some so I can vacuum the sand under it, so it would be a few minutes.

LR can stay out for a while you could give it a dip every now and then or just get some rags and soak it in some salt water then lay the rag on top of them.
