what would be the best choice of macro algea for my FOWLR set up and when is the best time to add it to my refugium?

Chaeto seems to be the most popular variety. It's great for absorbing nutrients but can be a bit of an eyesore. It depends on what your main purpose in adding macro algae is. Gracilaria, halimeda, etc are great for the display tank, while algae like chaeto and caulerpa are better suited for filtration.

I was thinking of the same thing for my fowlr. Let me know how it goes. Thanks
