I have a 80gal tank 48in, i have 220w pc's(2 10000 daylight, 2 03 atinic) and wanted to know if it will be ok to add 1 250w metal halide to help the pc's out for coral. I am asking because i know im suppose to have 1 mh bulb per 2 feet but i don't want to spend that much. That is why i wanted to know if maybe there were reflectors that can spread the light. Also what type of light, I know there are a bunch of different kinds of mh bulbs. Just want your inputs.

thanks

what you can do is put your mh where you would like to put your high light corals. Use your pc to supplement. You can create a brighter and darker area in your tank.
