Mixing saltwater

What is the minimum amount of time that you have to wait before adding new ly mixed sw to a tank?

If its an emergency you could wwait like an hour. Usually people say like a day but I think a couple hours is all if you trully get it mixed. I use a pump in my trash bin so it gets mixed amazingly.

I say as long as you test it before adding it. If you use a refractometer and get the right reading minutes after mixing, it's good to go.

I would say overnight to be safe but if you really need it just till the water is completely clear

You want to make sure it is completely mixed depending the the pump you use will make a difference how fast the salt mixture dissolves. I have found some salts don't dissolve as completely as others even overnight. I let mine mix overnight at least.

It was a minimum of 14 hours, and I mixed it in a 20 long with a 1250 powerhead and heater. It was clear within 20 minutes. I was just curious
