My new 3 ft FOWLR. Needs a background badly. Was thinking just a plain blue.

If I do I normally use black.

Your tank looks really nice. Great Job.
However, if I'm not mistaking, there are 4 clowns in the tank? That unfortunately will probably end in a death match. Most likely only one pair will survive.
I'd return to and trade them in for some kind of wrasse.

One clown going tommorow hopefully. I was told 4 was ok, 3 is a crowd and ends badly?

You can do 4 in a large tank where they have room to get out, or where you have a lot of protection like anemones.
In this size tank, 2 is recommended.
