question regarding saltwater

I went to a locally owned saltwater store today. I have a 5 gallon bucket of RO water. The owner told me if I were to mix salt in there and make that water saltwater the water could sit in a closest since the bucket has a top that closes and seals. I could open the bucket and use the water as I do water changes. I was under the impression saltwater had to be filtering or moving?

Once the salt is dissolved it can just sit without moving.

I always have a powerhead in my water reservoirs, just helps IMO.
