Refugium question

If you have a refugium, do you keep your lights on all the time, or do you alternate with your display tank lighting schedule? Or, do you have another approach all together?

I alternate with display.

This is why I do it this way to keep my PH stable when DT goes off ph drop so ref light comes on and ph stays stable.
