Removing trigger from QT

I placed my trigger in our QT about 8 weeks ago. In ready to put him back in DT. What is the best and stress less way of getting him back into the DT (acclimation). QT tank is a couple degrees warmer, and salinity is .1 higher. Advice is greatly appreciated. Thx

Scoop him, put him in a bucket, drip acclimate him for an hour, scoop him again and put him in the dt
